This JetBlue campaign is posted throughout the NYC subway system and makes great use of the QR code as a design element. How do you access the internet when underground in the subway?? Nice poster, bad location. Maybe they could put them on their planes.

ROSAdosVENTOS.mobi is an interactive installation digital print (1m x 1m frame) that acts as a compass composed of mobile tags (illustration) for navigation in the digital online world. The work is a gateway that connects the physical world with the offline world online digital through mobile phones. Conceptually, it is a tool for online browsing in the same way that roses are the wind instruments of navigation geophysics.

Balloon QR Code on New York Times Magazine Cover
New York Times Magazine 10th Anniversary Special cover (artwork by Karim Charlebois-Zariffa) has a QR Code composed from colored balloons, it is LARGE – very LARGE – see the video.
Made out of about 1000 balloons, confetti and streamers. A huge facility was required to create the QR code out of the balloons.
Scanning the code on the cover can be difficult. It points to short video clips specially commissioned for this 10th Annual Ideas Issue of the magazine. The videos are not optimized for mobile phones!

Check out the QR COWde! See more images here. Brazilian artists Daniel Siarkovski and Rafael Grostein QR coded cow appeared in the São Paulo Brazil annual Cow Parade. The Cow Parade is one of the largest and well succeeded contemporary street art events in the world.
Fabrice de Nola is an Italian-Belgian artist born in Messina (Sicily) in 1964. He introduced the use of QR codes in oil paintings. In 2006, he created the first oil paintings containing texts and QR Codes to be used on mobile phones. See his Wikipedia page here.
