“Q aRt”
From the author, Trent Stocking:
“This Piece is about 6″ tall and 6″ wide…
It’s canvas is 100% recycled steel…
The steel is about 1/16in thick…
The QR image is cut from vinyl decal paper then stuck to the bare steel…
Then I statically powder-coated the whole thing with a transparent powder and then bake it at 400 for 10 minutes…
This holds the code in forever and protects the steel…
It’s essentially a metal painting…
and the most famous of all paintings at that…
It’s ready to hang on your wall…
needs no frame and is lightweight…
won’t ever rust…”
It decodes to: http://www.rhythmicmetal.com/files/8913/1310/5020/monalisa.jpg
It is for sale on Etsy! See it at: http://www.etsy.com/listing/79659033/the-mona-lisa-qr-code-art-qart

Can a functional QR code be built out of nothing but OREOs? The folks at RedPepper had to know. Check out RedPeppers post detailing the complete project at http://redpepperland.tumblr.com/post/10523810755/qreo-an-oreo-qr-code showing how they did it using 441 Oreos!

I needed to create over 1000 QR Codes for a project I’m working on. I did not want to create each one individually, so I wrote a small php progam that uses the Google chart AP to create QR Codes for me. Each QR Code has a different ‘querystring’ that I can use to load different web pages or display multiple texts (See the Bible example on my How to make a URL for a Designer Qr Code page.)
This post has alo been created as a Multiple QR Codes page to make it easy to find on the site, check the page links section of this site.
Here is the Multiple Qr Code Generator form, give it a try.

Video by SET; an agency in Japan that create some fantastic designer QR Codes. This video shows a QR Code made of mints for a client!
From their web site: “QRchitecture from Tokyo creative agency SET showcasing mobile barcode built from Frisk mints and scanned with QR reader Optiscan. SET’s design team was given a supply of FRISK mints (well….500) and this is what they came up with. After revolutionizing the way in which QR codes are used with the ‘designer’ QR code, SET is now promoting the use of ‘built’ codes made from real objects. These codes offer brands a unique opportunity to incorporate them into outdoor stunts and events, allowing the consumer to truly interact with the code in fun and exciting ways.”

Make a Sticky note QR Code like the Oklahoma City QR Code, check out http://www.postitartcreator.net powered by www.creaxial.net. Great site for making Post It note art, use it to make a QR Code. It even prints your design in reverse so it can easily be built on a window for scanning from the outside! It even calculates how many notes you will need. Check out mine:
Here are the excellent printed instructions (reversed for putting in a window):
The QR Code points to http://qrcartist.com/?d=1 - see my page on QR Code URLs here:
