QR-CODE CROSSWORD

Posted on December 15, 2011

Christian Svanes Kolding released a special-edition crossword puzzle, created for THE THINGS WE KEEP, to celebrate the film’s appearance in TALK TO ME at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Download it as a pdf file.

QR codes play an important role in MoMA’s Talk To Me exhibit, which therefore provided the initial rationale for using the QR code as a basis for his crossword puzzle. From MoMA’s site: “Each object in the exhibition has its own QR code, which allows visitors to bookmark it and access more information about each object on the exhibition’s website, in the galleries, or at home.” In the case of THE THINGS WE KEEP, the QR code enables the user to see and hear the film with its full soundtrack, which is not the case in the gallery space of the museum itself. And yes, the QR code in the puzzle works, and has a very specific purpose. Enjoy!

For more information about THE THINGS WE KEEP, please check out this press release (or return to the souvenirs page) or see the film itself.
