Israeli coffee shop chain Cup O’ Joe (Cafe Joe, in Hebrew) placed ads with QR codes into newspapers leading readers to a free cup of Cup O’ Joe coffee. Readers could scan the ad, get a link with directions to their nearest Cup O’ Joe location, where they could redeem a coupon for a free cup of coffee – and finish reading their paper. Y&R Tel Aviv created the campaign.
