QR Coded Cows – AGAIN.
Lady Shamrock is a dairy cow – one of around 1.5 million in Britain, but one of the few with a QR Code. She is a Friesian which means she has a black coat. Friesians are pretty common, but Holstein-Friesians are the most common in Britain. Friesians with QR Codes are quite uncommon.
Southfields farm in Somerby, Leicestershire, have painted a QR Code on their cow, LadyShamrock. People can scan the QR code using an app on a smartphone and get access to a website which contains information about the farm’s 100-strong herd of dairy cows. The QR Code is linked to http://goo.gl/yAE1Q which redirects to www.thisisdairyfarming.com that has much more information about Lady Shamrock.
