The group consists of 3 artists, Cid (Cedric PHILIPPI) Dardelet (Philippe Dardelet) & Vebe (Thibaut van BOXTEL), all three from art school in Brussels (ERG & St. Luke).
In 2004, they founded the ” LaboZie “, a workshop multidisciplinary artists with other friends; Boualam Mehdi, Gregory and Laurent Sukhaseum Issara and Christian Picon. It is within this structure they fit together the familiar exercise of “Exquisite Corpse.”
Originally, they use this principle as a warm punctuating their own work, over time this habit will become a true ritual .
These seven years of artistic improvisation allowed them to blend their styles to finally give the impression that their production results from a single person.
Aware of this, they decided in 2011 to realize their work by the construction of new works for the exhibition, under the name of “Collectif 33%.”
The three artists set themselves a more or less strict timing and rotate continuously around the canvas, creating a visual explosion.
It is almost impossible to answer to the frequently asked question: “Who did what? ”. Indeed, all the drawings feed on each trait.
