QR CODE PROJECT « DREAM VANNES »
Vannes, a city located in Morbihan in Brittany, is launching a call for project relating to the design of a QR code. It’s opened to all artists and designers worldwide.
Background :
A world premier in France in June 2011 : the first QR code design exhibition was presented at the” Palais des Arts” in the city of Vannes by the artist agent Corinne Jaillais in partnership with Qr Dress Code.
“International stars” of this technology – French, American and Japanese – were invited, via the blog www.qrdresscode.com, to imagine, create and distort QR codes based on the theme of “Paris, dance and elegance”. The exhibition entitled “Paris fait son show” has since embarked on a worldwide tour, including Washington and Barcelona, and will soon go to Paris and Japan.
Today’s challenge is to create a digital canvas, which will be used as an element of urban design that can be scanned with a smart phone and connected to the city’s mobile website. Vannes is one of the first French cities in the Great West to have launched a smart phone application on its website!
Project :
Creation of a personalized QR Code linked to the mobile website of the city of Vannes.
