White City Tube Station Art uses QR codes

An innovative project at White City London Underground station is combining art with smartphones and QR codes. Passengers passing through White City Underground station are being encouraged to interact with the art. Visitors to the west London Tube stop can begin their daily commute with a virtual journey thanks to a new Art on the Underground installation.

Poster-sized QR (Quick Response) codes are lining the station, allowing customers to use their smartphones to scan and access videos and text for the latest project in the Central line series by artist Anna Barham. Click the photo for complete information.

The other videos and all the posters installed at the station can be viewed online at http://art.tfl.gov.uk/whitecity
