To advertise the Box project space, they created a 3D expanded QR code in perspective which is only readable from one point. At this point all the individual elements align to form a 2D QR code on the screen of your smart phone. The QR reader then leads you to the website.
*project for the MACD of the CSM art college.

Connecticut Forest & Park Association introduces eTrailhead, a simple way to use your smart phone to scan a QR code posted in the trailhead kiosk to download a map, trail description, and other information. To use the eTrailhead you’ll need a smart phone with a QR code reader. When visiting the trail, use the reader to scan the QR code in the kiosk and you’ll see a welcome page on your phone. Select from the menu (map, trail description, etc.). Enter your email address when prompted. That’s all there is to it! Now you have the information you need for a safe hike.

Flint Institute of Arts QR Codes

The Flint Institute of Arts (Michigan) and Mlive.com has used QR Codes for a wine tasting vote at a fundraiser. At the wine tasting event participants were asked to taste the wide range of wines presented. When they find their favorite one, they vote by scanning a QR Code. The QR code creates a simple text message that sends the wine vote entry. Manually voting was also available.

The Cranbrook Institute of Science has encoded QR codes with relevant information on an ever increasing number of its exhibits, planetarium posters, and more.

Comcast Museum Without Walls will use ID tags emblazoned with a QR Code. By scanning the QR Code with your smartphone or tablet computer, you will be taken to more indepth information regarding the particular item or exhibit you’re viewing.

Medieval Week Museum of Gold Court in Metz

From May 14 to 19 2012 , the Museum of La Cour d’Or - Metz Metropole organizes a Medieval Week. This year, a Smartphone game is planned which will allow the public to discover a part of the history of Metz in the Middle Ages.

This is the Metz Métropole Medieval Game 2012, 3MG12

In this game, the action takes place in 1354. That’s when a delegation arrives from Messina to the Luxembourg Republic. A fight breaks out between the mysterious factions from Messina and Luxembourg.

Players will try to solve this puzzle by scanning, using their phones, different QR codes affixed near famous monuments or places of medieval Metz.

Thus they will discover historical information, the social and cultural impact on the city of Metz, and few clues in the form of narrative fiction to better understand the origins of the brawl.

Saturday 19 May, the fighting will be reenacted at the museum. Players then enter into direct contact with actors of the event and discover the true story .

RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2012 QR Code Garden

This is the first year that smart technology has been utilized at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The QR Code Garden is a topical, ambitious and interactive space that delivers a bold visual statement. The focal point of the garden is a large QR (Quick Response) code, created from a wall of vertical planting. The design references formal garden traditions through the use of sharp geometric form and clipped topiary, but is brought into the present day through the engagement with this exciting new way of accessing virtual information.
