“To me, finding an intimate and personal relation with digital media represents a form of artistic expression. Through my work, I make QR Codes adapt to my needs, my computer programming background is always present in my work. Learning motivates me, I am drawn to the new technologies, to learn the latest techniques. I prefer to be constantly learning and growing. It’s not about defining a preset result, on the contrary, the essence of my work is based on change and growth. My digital art does what I intend it to do, forcing it to do things it wasn’t originally designed to do. This effort involves acquiring knowledge beyond what’s known, aiming beyond what is simply displayed. This passion for learning has made programmable/changing a possibility for art and has set a new horizon for the applications of this technology.

It’s really about humanizing, turning technologies into a sign of human expression. If technologies are designed to do “one thing” we can make them do “other unexpected things.” Learning technology means going beyond, creating new unexpected uses.

I build my QR Codes using a variety of creative processes. Each piece is a custom piece, no two are exactly alike and only a few of each series is produced. All are numbered, you get not only a work of art, but a rare custom work.
